Help parents and schools in your community give children better practice from P.1 to S.4, and earn commission every time a family or school you introduce subscribes.

How it works

  1. Apply online in a few minutes. No documents needed yet.
  2. ID check: if you are shortlisted, we ask you to send photos of your National ID.
  3. Short interview by phone or WhatsApp with the edPLEstar team.
  4. Get approved and receive your personal agent code and starter kit.
  5. Introduce families and schools and get paid for every subscription.

Who we are looking for

People that parents and schools already trust. You don't need sales experience, just a phone, good relationships in your area, and honesty.

Teachers and retired teachers

You know which families want extra practice for their children, and you can introduce your school.

Mobile Money agents and shop owners

You meet parents every day, especially near schools and markets.

Parents and community leaders

Church, mosque, women's group and SACCO leaders, and parents who already use edPLEstar.

University students and graduates

Current and former university students who are known and trusted in their home areas, schools and churches.

Agent application

Full details of the programme, including commission rates and payment schedule, are shared with shortlisted applicants at interview. A valid Ugandan National ID is required: if you are shortlisted, we will ask you to send photos of it so we can verify who you are.

Identification
14 characters, starts with CM or CF. A valid Ugandan National ID is required.

You don't need to send any ID photos now. If you are shortlisted, the edPLEstar team will ask you on WhatsApp for clear photos of the front and back of your National ID, and a photo of you holding it.

Mobile Money for payments
Must match the name on your National ID. Payments are only made to numbers in the agent's own name.

Questions

Does it cost anything to join?

No. There is no joining fee and nothing to buy. Agents are paid commission only when a family or school they introduce pays for a subscription.

How much can I earn?

Commission rates and the payment schedule are explained in full to shortlisted applicants at interview.

Why do you need my National ID?

edPLEstar is used by children and their families, so we verify every agent. Shortlisted applicants send photos of their National ID to the edPLEstar team on WhatsApp. The photos are stored privately and only the edPLEstar team can see them.

Am I an employee of edPLEstar?

No. Agents are independent and work in their own time. You can stop at any time.
